Insurance Coverage Adequate for NITC after Sanctions Removal

TEHRAN, Sept 27 (Shana) – Managing director of the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Mohammad Saeidi says insurance coverage for the National Iranian Tanker Company's fleet is adequate thanks to the implementation of Iran's nuclear deal with the P5+1 group, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
"Thanks to the JCPOA's implementation, many of the restrictions have been removed in a way that the NITC is enjoying adequate insurance coverage for its fleet by renowned international insurer companies," he said.

Speaking at the 24th Coordination Seminar of Maritime Organs on Tuesday, Saeidi mentioned Iran has promoted its state in international markets by the removal of embargoes and signature of deals with leading marine companies.
"The post-JCPOA setting has offered Iran great opportunities in such a way that we are now considering enhancement of our exports by tapping regional potentialities and importing the latest technologies," he added.

He said over 430 million people live in the central Asian region that is a massive market for boosting our exports.
