IranInsurance shifts office to new premises

Muscat: Iran Insurance Company has relocated its new Muscat branch office to Wattayah. Ali Akbar Sibeveih, the Iranian ambassador to Oman, graced this occasion and inaugurated the new office premises. A. Q. Faqihihi, general manager, Yazdi, regional director, Salem Chigol, resident controller, Oman, H. N. Ravindra, Oman country manager was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, ambassador lauded Iran Insurance's contribution to Iran's economic stability and urged all its foreign agencies/branches to be committed and contribute to respective economies. He wished all success to Oman branch operations.
He also added, "Oman and Iran share good relationship, we expect major investments from Iran and this is a positive sign for Iran Insurance being one of the national insurers of Iran. The branch is located in the prominent area at newly constructed Bldg. No. 1358, Way No. 317, Al Nahdha Complex building at Al Wattayah (near Al Maha Petrol Station).
Meherdad, regional manager in his speech explained that Iran Insurance Company (popularly known as Bimeh Iran) started its operation in 1935 in Iran. With over 75 years of experience, the company has strong presence in Iran and is well known in world insurance markets.
Iran Insurance's paid up capital is greater than $150m, has wide branch and agency network in Iran (over 4,000) and has achieved gross premium exceeding $3 billion as on 2011 with 50 per cent increase of gross premium in 2011.
"Today, we continue to remain a reliable insurance partner to business in the Middle East with operations in UAE, Oman and Bahrain. Our core values are quality service and customer satisfaction," said Ravindra.
He also added that Iran Insurance Company has long presence in Oman and informed that it was one of the first insurers in Oman. "Since past two years, we have shown progressive growth and we will continue to improve our presence and services.
"This is one of the reasons of shifting to new location and give a new look to our Oman operations. We are a small team with efficient business processes and we run the business with focus on customers needs," he said.
On expansion of business, Ravindra stated, "We are expanding our marketing department and introducing new products. Recently, we have introduced medical business and travel insurance for people travelling to Iran.
"Presently, we are operating from Muscat and Salalah. Shortly, we will be opening branches in Sohar and Sharqiyah regions."
On Omanisation, Ravindra confirmed that along with business expansions, HR is one of the focus points and the company have plans to train and empower the local talent.
