The liability of the Underwriters under this section should not exceed
the amount mentioned in the schedule. In addition, the Underwriters will
defray any legal costs and expenses incurred with their written consent
in defending any action which may be brought against the insured
regarding the fact that if any claim for compensatory damages is covered
by this section, but if the amount paid or awarded in settlement of
such claim exceeds the limit of indemnity, the liability of the
Underwriters in respect of such legal costs and expenses should be
limited to the proportion of the mentioned legal costs and expenses as
the limit of indemnity bears to the amount paid for compensatory
damages.
