Deputy
Petroleum Minister for International Affairs and Commerce said Romania
is interested in buying gas from Iran.
"Romanian firms have also expressed readiness to participate in offshore
and onshore projects as well as in manufacturing of equipment,"
Amir-Hosssein Zamaninia told Shana about the meeting with a delegation
which was accompanying the Romanian foreign minister during his recent
visit to Tehran.
"They announced that they are counting on Iran for diversifying their
gas input sources. They were told that in the next four to five years
Iran will be in a position to think on the idea to where to ship it gas
as LNG."
The Romanian firms, he added, were also interested in manufacturing of
the equipment in the oil and gas industry and partnership with Iranian
companies.
On the meeting with SACE, Zamaninia said that the Italian insurer is
interested to be the first institution providing financial and monetary
and insurance coverage to Iran.
"We hope that SACE will be able to provide insurance coverage to oil and
gas projects independently from government relations and negotiations
with the Central Bank of Iran," he said.
About the visit by the Norway Aker Solutions to Iran, he added, "This
group is interested in presence in Irans oil and gas industry and is
ready to transfer technology to Iranian companies."
"It has advanced technologies and Iran welcomes their presence," he
said.
